Common Snapping Turtles have an incredible bite force that is capable of crushing bones and metal objects. They use this bite force to catch prey and defend themselves from predators. This Common Snapping Turtle (24-2518) was transported to our wildlife hospital after being found in a lethargic state. Snappers are generalists, which means they don’t turn their strange looking noses up at much. A find like this certainly worth drowning your friend over (That’s a joke.
