I Briefly give you a quick overview on how to get an Azimuth on a Lensatic Compass. I am using a Cammenga Model 27 (Military) Lensatic Compass for this video.

The first rock marks where the shadow started and the second marks where it moved to, creating a west to east line on the ground.
