Russia on Friday celebrated the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II, as President Vladimir Putin presided over a massive parade of tanks, missiles and troops through Red Square and welcomed over two dozen world leaders — the most since Moscow sent troops into Ukraine.

While Putin hosted several world leaders, European ministers gathered in Ukraine to announce the formation of a war crimes tribunal targeting Russian officials.

Russia will restrict internet access across regions including Moscow during its May 9 celebrations, as the Kremlin adopts ever-tighter controls.

Ukraine and its allies in Europe are upping their pressure on Russia to accept terms for a 30-day ceasefire that would begin as early as Monday. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said

Russia would require a halt to U.S. and European arms supplies to Ukraine during any potential ceasefire, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with ABC News. "Otherwise it will be an advantage for Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine was ready to accept a U.S. proposal for a 30-day cease-fire, provided Russia did the same
