Just two months after lifting their record-sixth MLS Cup, LA Galaxy are back in action ahead of the 2025 MLS season.
Signing The LA Galaxy have acquired midfielder Elijah Wynder from USL Championship side Louisville City FC, the club announced Sunday. The 21-year-old has signed a three-year contract through 2027 with an option for 2028.
Re-signed The LA Galaxy have re-signed defender Eriq Zavaleta to a one-year contract through 2025, the reigning MLS Cup presented by Audi champions announced Saturday.
Wynder joins a growing list of players LouCity transferred in recent years, all while continuing to uphold the club's trophy-winning expectations. He's City’s seventh outgoing player to Europe or MLS — most in the USL Championship — since Jonathan Gomez moved to Spain’s Real Sociedad in January of 2022.
Wynder has played for Louisville City FC since 2019. In 84 games (starting in 55 of them), he has scored 11 times while recording three assists. The two parties agreed to a contract that will run through the 2027 season. There is also a club option for 2028.

Louisville completed a transfer to send Wynder, whose younger brother Josh previously moved to Primeira Liga's SL Benfica in Portugal for an USL Championship record fee, to six-time MLS Cup winners LA Galaxy.
