Gold prices climbed over 1% on Friday, closing in on its all-time-high hit in October, as a weakening dollar on U.S. President Donald Trump's push for lower rates and tariff uncertainty drove the metal towards its fourth straight weekly rise.

Gold futures rose to three-month highs on general uncertainty and a weaker U.S. dollar, and are approaching all-time highs. Futures were up 0.7% at $2,784.20 a troy ounce, the highest point for three months and near the late October all-time record of $2,
