A promo video aired during a rugby game said the new season would be out this April 12, and, thanks to the official announcement from Disney and the BBC, we now know that date to be correct. Yep, Doctor Who season 2 is arriving this April 12.

Season two will officially launch on Saturday 12 April at 8am on BBC iPlayer and later that day on BBC One in the UK. At the same time, those outside of the UK can watch the Doctor and Belinda on their epic adventures on Disney+ where available.

Disney+ and BBC have revealed when Doctor Who returns for its second season, sharing new posters and a first look at an animated character, Mr Ring-a-Ding, played by X2: X-Men United star Alan Cumming.

Disney Branded Television and the BBC have jointly announced that season two of “ Doctor Who ” will premiere Saturday, April 12 (12:00 a.m. PDT / 3:00 a.m. EDT) on Disney+, where available, and exclusively on the BBC and BBC iPlayer in the UK. New episodes from the eight-part season will premiere weekly.
