Following the 2025 Royal Rumble, in which Cena was the runner-up, he announced his participation in the Men's Elimination Chamber match. Presumably, WWE will follow the same format as last year and have the winner earn a championship match at WrestleMania 41.

CM Punk is heading to Toronto. The former WWE Champion defeated Sami Zayn to qualify for March's Elimination Chamber event, where he'll compete in the titular match. While Punk had to best the former WWE Intercontinental Champion, his longtime rival John Cena was granted a bye, qualifying for the match by name and reputation alone.

Prediction: The teaser confrontation WWE placed on Raw before the Rumble will prove to be a key part of video packages building towards Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk at 'Mania 41. Also, Punk will win Elimination Chamber and become the new number one contender for Cody's WWE Title, not John Cena. It'll break some hearts, but business is business.
