Haliburton, who was named the most overrated player in the NBA by his peers before the playoffs, continued to show that if anything, he's underrated. The star point guard nearly had a triple-double by the end of the first half and finished with 32 points, 15 assists and 12 rebounds. What's more, Haliburton didn't turn the ball over one time.
During the Indiana Pacers ' second-round playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Tyrese Haliburton scored just 15 points on 16 shot attempts in Games 3 and 4 combined. In Game 5, he exploded for 31 points on 15 shots to close out the series and send Indiana to its second straight conference finals.
ESPN analyst and former NBA player Kendrick Perkins posited that the bar for true NBA superstardom is selling out road arenas, and followed it up with: "I don't know if Tyrese Haliburton is selling out arenas" as the panel collectively chuckled.
