The U.S. Supreme Court swept away this week another obstacle to one of President Donald Trump's most aggressively pursued policies - mass deportation - again showing its willingness to back his hardline approach to immigration. The justices, though, have signaled some reservations with how he is carrying it out.

Ukraine has publicly agreed to a 30-day ceasefire but Putin has only said Russia will work with Ukraine to craft a "memorandum" on a "possible future peace" - a move described by Kyiv and its European allies as delaying tactics so Russian troops could seize more Ukrainian territory.

Washington reiterated its willingness to keep Kyiv’s bid to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization off the table, in line with Moscow’s demands.
