Outage tracking site DownDetector indicates the problem began around 3:00 p.m. Eastern. Within half an hour, more than 46,000 reports had come in from users unable to access the site.
According to the site DownDetector, there had been more than 45,000 reports of Reddit outages just after 3:30 p.m.
