Due to rapidly declining weather conditions — with an updated Winter Storm Warning saying the storm could bring an additional three inches of snowfall to parts of the Texas Panhandle that had already seen heavy snow — several offices, businesses, schools and campuses closed early Thursday and announced closings for Friday.

Cincinnati Public Schools will be closed Friday due to cold and snowy conditions. The district closed its schools all week − the first week back from winter break− except for Thursday.

The National Weather Service projects up to 2 inches of combined ice and snow across much of the area, with higher amounts possible locally.
