The Pentagon on Wednesday said it was “not aware” of any plans to invade Greenland if ordered to do so, after President-elect Trump a day earlier refused to rule out using military force to seize Denmark’s autonomous territory.

Donald Trump says that the U.S. having control over Greenland is imperative for U.S. national security and is not ruling out using military force to take it. Ivory Coast and Senegal have announced that France will withdraw from bases in their territories.
