Former MVP Jose Altuve Set to Kick Off Spring Training in Shocking Fashion
We've heard the rumors, but now they are true. Jose Altuve is going to get some real opportunity in left field for the Houston Astros. And he'll be out there when the he kicks off Grapefruit League play.

Well, as we all know now, Bregman did not end up back in Houston. He landed in Boston, but apparently the idea of Altuve in left field stuck. On his first day at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches for Spring Training, Altuve was working out with the outfielders.

Altuve got initial left-field work at Daikin Park in Houston before reporting to spring training. Asked how Altuve looked on his first morning in West Palm Beach, Espada said: “It went well. … Some light work, seeing some balls off the bat It looks pretty good. But again, it’s early. We’ll see where this takes us.”
