Veteran goaltender John Gibson, one of few being mentioned in trade rumors around the NHL, sustained an upper-body injury during the first period of the Anaheim Ducks' 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators and was replaced by Lukas Dostal on Saturday.

Gibson, who stopped nine of ten shots in the first period, was replaced by Lukas Dostal to start the second. The Ducks confirmed Gibson would not return to the game following his removal from it. "Lukas Dostal is now in net for us. John Gibson has an upper-body injury and will not return to this game," the Ducks announced on X.

Mason McTavish had two goals for the second straight game, Jansen Harkins and Trevor Zegras scored as the Ducks beat Predators 5-2, snapping Nashville’s five-game winning streak.
