We found attending the St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York City to be a unique experience. The sheer vastness of all the marchers and their music and costumes was unlike anything else we have seen.Full review by Potomac_11

It’s a fantastic parade on 5th Avenue. Everything is perfect. Wonderful bands and fantastic street music. You have to see it on March 17th.Full review by megarider

The St.Patrick’s day parade is a huge event in NY with thousands in the parade and even more watching. Great to see some good weather in 2023 as it was pouring rain in 2022. Super fun. Recommended.Full review by StephenCr0ss
Where would be the best place to stand to watch the Parade?

Generally any spot on 5th Avenue will give you a good view and you should consider showing up early to reserve a place close to the parade itself in order to see well.
Hi, are there Floats or is it mostly marching bands? Thank you, and being that I drove from Michigan wear or what would be the best place to go to be able to get a spot and at what time and is there parking anywhere? In a truck? Free parking?

The closer to midtown the more expensive the parking...watch the signs & drive around the block a few times can get you free parking on the street as many garages can't …
The closer to midtown the more expensive the parking...watch the signs & drive around the block a few times can get you free parking on the street as many garages can't accommodate a truck height...anywhere on 5th Ave on the parade route you can find a spot is going to be fine...not the same as Thanksgiving parade...find an Irish pub for the real experience lol
