This park is very close to Santa Fe - it's about a 20 minute drive from downtown. Go from standard desert views to mountain views! I walked around the lodge a bit and on a couple of trails. Very nice… Full review by vacationaholic

Great place to hike and see beautiful outdoors. Views are wonderful and there are many trails. We loved the waterfall trail. There are camp grounds and restrooms if needed. Full review by Susan W

The park is now closed due to the drought. You can get a refund on your reservation as it won't be open again soon.

I think you can trailer your own horses into the park.

There's no place to sled in Hyde Park. You might have to go all the way up to the ski basin, and then I'm not sure they would allow sledding, but you could ask. Dale Ball trails area …

There's no place to sled in Hyde Park. You might have to go all the way up to the ski basin, and then I'm not sure they would allow sledding, but you could ask. Dale Ball trails area (lower down toward Santa Fe) has some small open areas that could work.
